Spring in Vincent Terrace woods

Vincent Terrace Woods are looking good after the damp spring : last autumn we planted 3000 English bluebells from the Conwy Valley (thanks to the generosity of neighbours) . We are grateful for Islington Council‘s contribution of 2000 white narcissi which are elegant additions to our woodland collection.
There are ransomes in abundance as well as violets and rare wood anemones , wild iris continues to proliferate over the tunnel.
Hornbeam and holly saplings have been added over the winter to diversify the woodland which forms part of a ‘green corridor’ for nature and wildlife from Duncan Terrace/ Colebrooke Row Parks to the canal towpath and Graham Street Park
We are working on improving the wooden benches and have ambitious plans to paint the canal side railings.
So do take a detour and visit Vincent Terrace Woods!
