Quentin Blake Centre opens on Friday 5 June

The Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration will open its doors on Friday  5 June.

The Amwell Street and Myddelton Passage gates will open between 9.30am and 5.30pm from Wednesdays to Sundays (buildings open 10am to 5pm).

The cafe will serve light meals, snacks and drinks until 4.30pm.

Tickets are available for three special exhibitions: Quentin Blake Performance; MURUGIAH: Ever Feel Like..and Queer as Comics.

The first festival will take place on 27 June. Visitors will be able to meet illustrators and a new outdoor sculpture will be unveiled. The event will coincide with Amwell Society celebrations. Free tickets will be available soon on the centre’s website.
